I am an avid traveler who has been travelling across India for the last 20 years and has travelled more than 100 of unique destinations without engaging travel and tour agents. With this long experience I now plan to share my real time travel experiences through this YouTube channel “Backpacker’s Notebook”. My only aim is to help travelers seeking authentic and genuine information for an immersive and budget-friendly journeys around the globe on their own without engaging Travel Companies and Travel Agents.

I recently hit upon this plan of launching a YouTube Channel after I met with so many contradictory information in the internet when I embarked on a plan to visit Europe on my own with my family. When I first hit upon the idea of Europe tour on my own, almost everyone said that I will not be able to get my visa as I do not have a prior experience of travelling abroad. Moreover as my son is doing his masters and is just below 25, getting Schengen visa for him is very bleak. I took up the challenge and on the very first attempt I got my visa and the visa of my wife and son as well. This made me realize how the travel companies are taking advantage of lack of proper and authentic information to loot people.

Yes there is no denying the fact that you need to plan every details day by day, hour by hour when you travel on your own, but then apart from saving a lot of money, you have the advantage of traveling according to your own specific choice and you don’t have to adjust your choice according the itinerary of the travel companies.

Let me give you two examples, the beauty of the entire Switzerland is awesome but the beauty of Interlaken is beyond dream; as the cost of accommodations and food there in Interlaken is sky high, travel companies will put you in Lucerne. Second example the travel companies will mostly take you from one place to other by bus as it is much cheaper, but the trains of Europe is an experience of a lifetime. Most travel companies will take 30 to 40 people in a bunch and so you will have to adjust a lot with others. Moreover the big fact is that no travel company will take you to best of places but will take you to the places that will benefit them the most.
Now that I have got my visa my Europe tour will begin this October and I will share all the experiences that will help anyone to plan his Europe Visit on his own. In my first video I will describe the steps that will help you in getting the Schengen visa without any trouble; I will clear the factors which are the prime reasons for visa rejections.
