Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Monaco as part of his three-nation Europe tour on Sunday.

President Xi and his wife were greeted by Head of State of the Principality of Monaco Albert II and his wife Princess of Monaco Charlene.

This is the first time a Chinese head of state has visited the Mediterranean country.

Among the issues discussed at the meeting reportedly were bilateral relations, as well as political and economic matters.

The Chinese president has already visited Italy and will then head to France as his European trip continues until March 26.
