The second round of tickets to the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics went on sale online this week. But the Olympic organizers are having a tough time as North Korea's recent nuclear threats have turned off prospective ticket buyers. So the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics Organizing Committee and the provincial government of Gangwon-do have decided to launch an aggressive, all-out publicity and marketing campaign at home and abroad.

The PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games are just some 150 days away, but only about 230,000 tickets or a mere 22% of all available tickets have been sold since they first went on sale in February. Interest in the upcoming Winter Olympic Games is mounting in and outside of Korea, but it's not resulting in actual ticket purchases. This is why the PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games Organizing Committee is putting all of its effort into the second online ticket sales window through its official homepage. Olympic supporters and aspiring Olympians have all stepped up as publicity agents to boost ticket sales.

[Soundbite] Kim Seo-yeong(Buan Elementary School, Chuncheon, Gangwon-do Prov.) : "I want to see the games because seeing the games in person would help improve my skills."

Gangwon-do Governor Choi Moon-soon will travel around Korea as well as Europe and the United States to promote the PyeongChang Olympic Games.

[Soundbite] Choi Moon-soon(Governor of Gangwon-do Province) : "We plan to visit Europe and the U.S. to launch very intense and aggressive publicity and marketing campaigns for the PyeongChang Olympics."
