Residents flee homes as wildfires rage near Greek capital Athens

We shift our attention to Greece now where hundreds of residents of coastal towns near Athens were forced to flee from a wildfire on Monday.
The blaze broke out in the village of Kouvaras, and affected nearby villages in a matter of hours.
On the same day a second fire near the capital prompted the evacuation of some 1-thousand-200 children from a summer camp alongside residents of a rehabilitation center.
A third fire in a forest 30-kilometers from Athens also broke out.
Firefighters, military personnel, aircraft, and helicopters are currently tackling 81 fires across Greece.
The wildfires have been blamed on strong winds, soaring temperatures and a previous dry winter that has created "tinderbox" conditions.
