Brief stay in Zurich Switzerland for the win despite gloomy weather but fantastic tour and friends we met along the way. Enjoyed our tour learning about the history here, my favorite fountain wishing it currently filled which Rosé as is during special occasions and lovely dinner with our Nova Scotia friends enjoying Swiss fondue. Will be back to witness snowcapped Alps behind us in the first picture Switzerland was amazing, the weather was cool the grass was green mountains were so beautiful. We actually walked through clouds. We rode a cable car up to 7000 feet! We actually even hiked up the mountain higher than that, walked down through a mountain to get back down, and then rode a cogwheel train to get back to earth, lolZurich the business capital of Switzerland is a happening city, very scenic and well laid down architecture and city design. You must visit this if you are planning to visit Europe, bit expensive though. Yet it's charm weather and ambience make for it.Great weather and amazing wildflowers for our hike over Col Ferret, crossing from Italy into Switzerland. We met hikers from all over the world again today, which is a lot of fun! Tasty lunch at a mountain refugio, then even managed to find some ice cream in a little village we stumbled upon. Awesome meal of fondue this evening to finish off an excellent day. We’re staying in the town of Argentiere, France tonight, which means we did 3 countries today!Today I wanted to visit the Giessbach waterfall again! The weather was perfect and the trip beautiful - even if Rasta was missing. But for him definitely too many people would have been on the road! I wish you a beautiful weekend!

#Nathiagali is a mountain resort town or hill station in Abbottabad District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It is located at the center of the Galyat range, where several hill-stations are situated, closely connected to each other, and with their names mostly ending in 'Gali'. Nathiagali is known for its scenic beauty, hiking tracks and pleasant weather, which is much cooler than the rest of the Galyat due to it being at a greater altitude. It is situated 32 km at one hour's drive away from both Murree and Abbottabad.I think I discovered paradise.. it’s in Gruyères, Switzerland!

Nestled in the foothills of the Alps, in the French-speaking region of Switzerland… this tiny village and grand castle looks straight out of Beauty & the Beast.

The castle was built in the 13th century by the counts of Gruyère, one of the most important noble families of western Switzerland.

In the 16th through 19th centuries, the castle then went on to be the office and residence for the region’s bailiffs. In 1848 it was bought by 3 wealthy brothers from Geneva, who turned it into an artists’ utopia.

In 2022, lil ol’ Curious Traveler was invited to visit and we simply had the best! day! ever! Our hosts were incredibly kind (they evn let mw practice my French with them)… and even the weather cooperated (100% rain chance, but we still got sunny skies.) oh.. and one more thing: Gruyères is known for its cheese for good reason!
