8. Shorts
Shorts are cool. We know. But not everyone considers shorts as cool as we do. If you’re traveling to Europe you might get away with it easily enough. In most of Europe, shorts are so informal they were once only viewed as children’s clothing. Luckily, not anymore! Let’s face it, Rome and Seville are freaking hot! Anyhow we can say shorts are safe in the EU. But please, for the love of God, don’t wear them as much as you do at home if you visit Asia.
Yes, you might find places in Asia where shorts are totally fine. And you might find traveling websites where you’re told shorts are fine in most places if they make you comfortable and everything, but let’s take a moment and think about it. First of all, for women some shorts are too short. You don’t want to go to most places if your boyfriend’s underwear is longer than your pants. Guys, actually that goes for you too! Even if you don’t plan on taking some exaggerated short-shorts with you, consider the fact that in some places the standards are a lot higher than you might think.
Around the world, If you want to visit cultural places like temples or churches, shorts are a no-no. You might get away with it in most big cities but in rural areas with little foreign presence and temples you will attract a lot of attention, and not necessarily the good kind. You probably won’t be allowed in anywhere.

7. A Strong Fragrance
This one is more universal… Smelling good is awesome. Seriously it’s like one of the greatest tips you can use to make everyone aware of how good you smell and how enchanting you are. Smelling good can make even the most unattractive man seem like Johnny Depp. Okay, maybe not. But you get the point, right!? Right... But hey, that doesn’t mean you must abuse that little bottle of perfume or cologne. Fragrance can be a double-edged sword. As we’ve said, it’s awesome to smell good, but you really don’t want to be that guy who used too much cologne. It simply screams “I don’t know what I’m doing” to everyone in your vicinity! Also we’ve all been next to a woman who has no idea her perfume doesn’t really smell like flowers and is actually slowly sucking the life out of you.
While traveling this little detail is even more important. It doesn’t matter if you’re in a plane or in a bus or whatever, for the sake of yourself and most importantly others: don’t! We said others because some people might have scent allergies or might simply not like the way you smell.
And trust us, if you’re stuck with someone in a bus for more than four hours and that someone’s smell makes you feel uncomfortable, you will definitely hate them so much it could ruin your potential friendship (since you might spend the entire trip fantasizing about how you could make that person disappear).
You could literally make people sick, so just be considerate.

6. Flashy Jewelry
Almost since the beginning of time we humans wanted to show our power, dominance, and value over others through jewelry.
Jewelry is one of the weapons we use in this dominance war. For both men and women a large, shiny ring usually means a higher social status and wealth. But that’s not necessarily the case, and if you exaggerate with jewelry not only you will seem a little arrogant but it will be just like you have a sign that says “please, steal from me!”
Our little planet is a big place, and you don’t always know what kind of people you will encounter while travelling. Most people are nice or at least polite but there are thieves and pickpockets lurking around every corner, just waiting for someone like you to show off some very valuable item. So, no matter where you’re travelling, don’t forget you don’t have to impress anyone so if you don’t want to risk losing them, leave your precious items at home.
