Welcome to a new video. A must visit at the Island Malta is the town, Mdina. Mdina is loceated at the northwest part of the Island and nearly connected with the neighbor town Rabat. The town is popular by tourists by people who live at the Island. Find out more in my video what is like to visit a town with old buildings, a cathedral, and nice places.

The trip to Mdina:
I visited the town, Mdina. In the past I´ve heard very good things about the town and on my trip to Malta it was on my plan to see the town. I start my tour at the main gate for coming in the old town and walked next to the historical museum into the street. At next I visited the Saint Paul’s cathedral. The Saint Paul´s cathedral is the biggest and most important building for the citizen of Mdina. At next I went into a street a other place where I found interesting souvenirs like the famous knights of Malta from the past. At the wall I enjoyed a view to Rabat, the Mediterranean Sea. The sight was clear that I could see the Island Sicilia and its famous Vulcan Ahtna.
After spending some in front of the Saint Paul´s cathedral many people were coming, and a wedding begun. The bride together with some girls arrives in old Rolls Royes and it was interesting to see a Maltese wedding ceremony with Scottish bagpiper and a lot of other people from Medina and Malta.
It was an extremely interesting stay at the town and one of my best places what I´ve seen at my trip at Malta.

About Mdina:
Mdina is a town located at the west part of the Island Malta at the plateau of Dingli and next to the neighbor and bigger town Rabat. The town has a population of nearly 260 people and is next to the capital one of the most popular towns at the Island to see for the tourists.
The history of Mdina begun in the bronze age. Later the Phoenicians built the place out in a fortress and gave the place the name “Malet”. The place was for the next centuries a escape area. At the time of the Roman Empire Malet became the name Melita and became with Rabat a huge wall.
At the 16 centuries, the time of the Johannite, Mdina became its own and first Residence. Later the town Birgu became the new capital of the Island and in 1571 Valletta became the officially capital of the Island Malta. As Mdina changed back in a normal town, many people moved away from Mdina. A famous person of the town is the architect called Lorenzo Gafa. He rebuilt the Saint Paul’s cathedral after a hard earthquake on the same place and the building was consecrated according to the architect.
On a clear sky the tourists and visitors can see the neighbor island Sicilia and the volcano Aetna.
