In a debate over Europe Day 2023 brought by Angus 'Airmiles' Robertson in Holyrood today, the Scottish government was attacked over their lack of a replacement for the Erasmus programme.
When Labour's Foysol Choudury attacked the Scottish government over its lack of action to produce a replacement scheme, Mr Robertson asked him where would he cut the education budget to provide funding for a Scottish scheme, hinting that maybe the Scottish government can not afford to do so.
Angus Robertson was pushed earlier by the Tories over Scotland's own Erasmus scheme, in reply he stuttered and doubled down on his statement that being a member EU state (via Scottish independence) would let Scotland back into the Erasmus programme.
Finally, Willie Rennie, flat out asked him why Scotland didn't have its own Erasmus replacement programme, to which Mr Robertson went on the attack with some nonsense excuses.
The Erasmus programme is a European initiative that helps Scottish students visit Europe to study in European Universities and was stopped because of Brexit.
